Berklee India Exchange (BIX) is much more than an institute at Berklee. BIX is a movement led by a passionate community of artists, educators, and innovators who share the vision of a world connected by art, curiosity, compassion, and individual social responsibility; home to the renowned Berklee Indian Ensemble (with over 255 million streams).

Imagination and creativity make our world richer and more meaningful, and so, every project, every endeavor, and every pathway we build is intended to ignite a creative spark in people’s lives, no matter what their background or life path.

BIX is funded solely by philanthropy. We invite you to be part of this movement. Your gift supports student scholarships, touring opportunities, workshops, and visiting artists in addition to allowing BIX to continue creating world-class content. Expose diverse audiences to the depth and breadth of Indian art and culture;

Advocate for equitable access to academic and professional resources, opportunities, and pathways for South Asian artists;

Pioneer strategic and groundbreaking entertainment industry initiatives at the intersection of immersive technology, innovative collaborations, and positive social impact;

Connect and build bridges in communities across the world, but especially in South Asia, through the power of music, art, and collaborative action;

And Equip the next generation of global creators, innovators, and thought leaders to claim their power of positive disruption in the arts industry and our world.

Berklee's South Asian Scholar Association (SASA)

Berklee’s South Asian Scholar Association (SASA) is the first student organization of its kind and operates as a branch of Berklee India Exchange. Since our inception in 2021, we have grown from just a few students in a classroom to a thriving community of over 500 students and alumni. Our members have had the privilege of performing at renowned venues, such as the Brighton Music Hall and the House of Blues in Boston, the Perelman Arts Center in New York and more. Additionally, we’ve had the honor of hosting esteemed artists, including Kaushiki Chakraborty, Vanraj Shastry, and Rajhesh Vaidhya. We are deeply committed to creating a platform for South Asian representation in the Greater Boston area.
