Women Musicians Network

The Womxn Musicians Network (WMN) was founded in 1995 by current Berklee professor Lucy Holstedt. Professor Holstedt noticed a lack of representation and advocacy for womxn musicians in the Berklee community and the music industry. To combat this, she created a womxn's showcase concert at the Berklee Performance Center (BPC), and thus WMN established their signature show every year since its founding. WMN fosters positive relationships, mutual support, and musical collaboration among Berklee and Boston Conservatory students and alumni who define themselves as womxn, non-binary, or feminists. We strive to provide performance, business, and recognition opportunities to our community. We fight to advocate and support the womxn in the Berklee community and the music industry.
